Forget 10+% unemployment; forget everyone but you and me getting a taxpayer bailout; forget banks failing at record numbers - we should be worried about what Tiger Woods was doing when he sliced his SUV into a fire hydrant early in the morning? Make no mistake, Tiger Woods is big business. What he earns on the golf course is probably chump change when compared to fees for endorsing products. The hoopla over his fender bender is symptomatic of the many things wrong with our society. If Tiger didn't break any laws (other than minor traffic violations), what happened is none of our business. Tiger, the most accomplished golfer of modern times, does not deserve special treatment by law enforcement. However, he is under no obligation to discuss what happened with anyone, including the law (it's his constitutional right). Of course, it is easier and more fun to speculate about the greatest player in the history of golf than it is to worry about the serious problems of our times. Let's give Tiger a mulligan (a do-over in golf jargon) on exiting his driveway and focus on putting people back to work and other serious issues.
